Overview

Hired directly by the City of Greenback, Black Rock Excavating installed one new E/One grinder pump station and connected its discharge side to the utility service connection. The project required approximately 30 feet of excavation through an asphalt parking lot to establish the connection route. Black Rock also installed the grinder pump control panel and performed system startup. The installation was completed March 29, 2026. Asphalt restoration was not included in Black Rock's scope.

Scope of Work

- Approximately 30 feet of excavation through an asphalt parking lot - Excavation for one new E/One grinder pump station - Installation of the grinder pump station - Discharge piping from the station to the utility service connection - Grinder pump control panel installation - System startup

The Challenge

The site was transitioning from its septic tank to a newly installed sewer system. Completing that connection required installing a new grinder pump station and establishing a discharge route through an existing asphalt parking area to the utility service connection.

Our Solution

Working as the direct contractor for the City of Greenback, Black Rock Excavating excavated the required route, installed the E/One grinder pump station, ran the discharge side to the utility service connection, installed the control panel, and performed startup.

The Result

Black Rock completed the new E/One grinder pump installation and startup on March 29, 2026, providing the equipment and connection needed for the site to use the new sewer system rather than continue using the septic tank. Asphalt restoration was outside Black Rock's scope.
